untitled poem by Brad DeLoreto

  The baseball hits the bat
       Into the scoreboard splat
       Home run for Ruth
        That's the truth
         Baseball sneaky as a sleuth
         Little Jonny lost a tooth
         The baseball is coming
         Jonnys mom loves humming
To the hospital jonnys dad runnin
His resemblence to Jonny is cunning

The Monster Within you Evelline Costa

The Monster Within you
Evelline Costa

Sending shivers down your dorsum
Sensing the crisp frosty finger touch on your spine
releasing short breaths attempting to comprehend its words
As you become conscious of what was occurring
dread had approached you
Distancing yourself from what you thought was reality
Coming to the realization this unknown being is what lies beneath your soul,

the only monster there is, is what makes up your whole.
