GONE
It isn’t fun,
To see anyone,
Spiral down into the dark,
They no longer have that spark,
That they used to have,
That you wish they still had,
But never again will it return,
It doesn’t matter if you show concern,
Because they are already gone,
And that realization will — on you — dawn.
AFTER LIFE
My life has gone missing,
I should consider it a blessing,
For everything has finally gone dark,
Can’t see a thing — not even a spark,
I always said I wanted a break,
But not if death it will take,
I want to go back to my life,
Not go on to the afterlife.
DECISION
She looks back at her family,
Leaving will be agony,
She doesn’t want to go away,
She really would rather stay,
But education really is important,
Does she really need to go away to be content?
Taking one last look at her plane,
And then at her family, where she sees the pain,
Then she decides against the academy,
And runs into the arms of her family.
