Slipping by Colin Tonkiss

Colin Tonkiss
Slipping

Outside it is a bright and sunny day
But I’m falling into endless darkness
I feel my body is wasting away
These holes in my soul show I’m not mark less
Dark taking every aspect of my life
No one really cares if I live or die
Mind and body in an ongoing strife
When I take my life will anyone cry
But suddenly there is light in the black
It takes shape of a girl with open arms
Someone who cares and won’t let me turn back
A twinkle in her eye, love, and her charms
She saw me when I was down on the ground
Care for your peers before they aren’t around
